        I often get that. Plum moth caterpillars are the main cause, as the damage they do lets the rot it. I've taken to heavy thinning, making sure that no two fruits are touching. This at least helps to limit the spread of any rot, as it can't transfer directly to the next fruit.

            • Yesterday Charlottes, courgettes, toms and parsley.

              Raspberries and more toms this morning.

              • A lot of runner beans, CFB, perpetual spinach, some calabrese side shoots, a small cabbage, a courgette and a couple of carrots. The carrots are occasionally split which might be a hangover from the earlier drought. However the spinach and beans are loving the cool damp weather.
                No cucumbers on the horizon so I might abandon them this season. The plant is healthy and halfway round the gh but still overwhelmingly male flowers. Is it the cool weather to blame?
