Started digging up the white sweet potatoes. 12.5kg from 4 plants so far. A rather so-so yield.

Mixed lettuce leaves, basil, cutting celery and land cress for this evening meal.
I've got 2 cucumber left in the fridge and around a dozen toms in various stages of ripening after those have gone it'll be frozen roasted toms until next season. Store bought just don't taste as good so I don't buy.Location....East Midlands.

Yesterday I picked a cucumber that might be the last one now, others are very small on the plant. Two courgettes, one was thin, one plants doing better than others & it must be because I never usually grow in that area so the soil is very good. Also lifted a few potatoes for dinner.Location : Essex

Another kilo of cape gooseberries, a large number of jalapenos, and four more plants' worth of sweet potatoes. Just 10.5kg between the four; rather disappointing.
I also decided to pick all the rest of my quinces, since they are bound to all get blown off in the storm, otherwise. I had more left than I thought, and got another 4kg. That's a total crop of 12.5kg this year. Pretty good seeing as this is only the third year I've had the tree. It's out-performing most of my other fruit trees, including ones I've had a lot longer.

A couple of beetroot.
OH made soup with the leaves and leek tops. I’d never have thought about using big beetroot leaves, but they weren’t at all stringy.Last edited by Nicos; 02-11-2023, 03:07 PM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
