What I harvested in 2023

  • More potatoes from a tub. About 1/2 the peas which this year have had a double whammy from dryness and really bad pea moth. A catalogna lettuce

    • Started picking the redcurrants. Did probably about 2/3 of them, and have 1.1kg so far.

                • More blackcurrants, redcurrants, raspberries , gooseberries and jostaberries,

                  Got a decent supply picked and frozen.

                  It looks like the hares are enjoying my strawberries again oh well, I did get a couple of weeks crop out of them and now have plenty of other fruit to eat.

                        it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                        • Yesterday I picked most of our sweet black cherries. Not many tbh - 4 lbs max. The remaining ones had become rotten before being fully ripe. The birds seem happy

                            • Hi first post for me on this sticky. I emptied out a pot of Sarpo Una potatoes - another first for me - growing spuds in pots. I put in 4 seed potatoes and harvested 2.6 kg. What do others get ? Is 2.6 kg. a reasonable yield?

                                Those minibells are my first too, tasty enough but a bit thick skinned.
