  • More plums, some tenderstem broccoli, the first ripe pepper (plus a few green ones which were damaged), and the first two ripe tomatoes (they're beefsteak, so just two is still a decent volume of tomato).

    • Runner and cf beans, a couple of carrots, more calabrese side shoots and some perp spinach.
Took up all of my zebrune shallots which are the largest I’ve ever grown. Now drying in the garage.
Also enjoying charlottes from tubs in the garden.

                  • Our first tomato…oh boy, it smells utterly devine

Also the last of the reachable plums in the second tree. The third one is probably a couple of weeks behind.

Earlier this week we picked our first outdoor cucumber…and today we picked the second one. Boy they have been a long time coming

I’ve been baking bread so while the ovens been on I’ve roasted a tray of Mini bell toms, oregano with garlic and olive oil.
Then a tray of Rhubarb, orange and honey.
                      The kitchen does smell good

                      • Sounds delish Bren!
I should look to see if I have more rhubarb after all this rain.

Guess who picked more courgette/ marrows today
Also some more spring onions which had become hidden and turned into baby pickling onion size. They are on the bbq as we speak.

                            • Yesterday it was sunny I picked one tomato black & brown boar. Today I picked five, two balconi red,one cream sausage, one black cherry & one violet jasper. I’ll check for sideshoots in a minute, sometimes you wait ages for them to ripen but they’re just growing a huge sideshoot that’s hidden.

Edit - just picked three more courgette…
