Yesterday runner beans,most of them were from the later planted plants,it’s prolonging having early & late teepees,I will do that again if I remember,also tomatoes. Today just a few tomatoes.

Yesterday I picked a red pepper,couple of tomatoes,handful of beans,six courgettes. Today so far just two tomatoes,I’ll pick some grapes in a little while,very windy out there today.Last edited by Jungle Jane; 19-09-2023, 03:13 PM.Location : Essex

OH cut back the french beans ( we’re doing cut and drop mulching this year as a trail) and came in with a big handful of beans . Most chuffed as I thought they were finished!
Same thing with the courgettes….phew, as we have a wheelbarrow full of the darned things in the barn!
also the last of the cucumbers seeing as there may be a frost this weekend.
Also some of the slug eaten peppers….
I’ve picked the last of the plums, more windfall apples and pears.

Raspberries and a white radish.
A few beetroot and some tomatoes.
Also a couple of courgettes. The remaining courgettes are being fattened and ripened as marrows.
The runner beans look like there is going to be a few more but French climbers have got no more flowers after giving a good crop earlier.Near Worksop on heavy clay soil

Yesterday before the heavens opened, blackberries, raspberries, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers and aubergines.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!
