What I harvested in 2023

  • Two cucumbers one short & one thin,two small red peppers about twelve tomatoes,three green off a blighted plant I got rid of.
    Location : Essex

          • Two more buckets of dry beans for shelling, more tomatoes, more peppers, tenderstem broccoli, french beans, a few quinces, and a kilo of cape gooseberry, and also brought two squashes home.

                • Lettuce leaves from No2 greenhouse, the last of the tomatoes and the last cucumber from No1. Not a good crop this year, but pretty acceptable given that I didn't get back home until the start of June. Got a month and a half to clean out No1 greenhouse before next year's campaign starts.
                  Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

                    • Yesterday four courgettes,three tomatoes & a yellow pepper. I also dug out some charlottes (no leaves or plant growth,they’re just in the compost container outside) & made some bbq wedges for dinner with courgettes & cod.
