Rearranged the lettuce buckets in my GH to fit in a table for the pea guttering.
I’ve sown the pre chitted peas apart from 6 slow ones hopefully they’ll be ready for tomorrow.
    Location....East Midlands.

      Potted on tomatoes and lettuce.
I’ve been ruthless this time and only potted on the best of them.

Cut back then mowed an old unused and overgrown veg bed. Topped with soaked cardboard then manure and compost and it's now ready for my broad beans.
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Rigged up my new guttering system for my greenhouse then tested it. It's not perfect (it leaks a little), but 90% of the water goes in the right direction, so I'd say that's good enough.
I then put all the roof glass on the greenhouse, so my greenhouse is now done and ready to use (well, I do still need to get a waterbutt for it).

I've had quite a productive day today. Planted up 21 Anya potatoes in bags. Still got 12 left so hoping a neighbour will take them.
                  Weeded my peonies in pots.
Attacked a massive bramble that I've been trying to dig out for more years than I care to remember.
Potted up 20 assorted begonias in temporary pots.
Potted on some stocks and began the game of tomato hokey cokey with the earliest sown beefsteaks now going into the greehouse during the day when temps are over 15c and back into the house overnight.

Pottered about a bit sowing spring onions and flowers for pollinators. Intended to sow carrots and beetroot but forgot the packets - hey ho, there'll be another day.
Had a chat and was given onion sets. Never done em before but put a score in a spare patch while there is one

Pricked out and potted on my tomato seedlings.
Also sowed some more sprouted pea seedlings in the gutter of soil to replace the ones which didn't come up.

All in. Dug a trough and added some well rotted manure. Had to move some beetroot I had from last year. Will see how they get on in their new spot.

Earthed up my early potatoes for the second and final time, and earthed up my second earlies for the first time.
I then did a load of digging, and managed to dig all of one of my three big beds, then spread poultry manure on it and raked it in.

My new automatic vent for the greenhouse arrived today, so I installed that. It seems to work just fine, although it doesn't open the window quite as much as I had hoped. Some adjustment may be necessary.
I also planted all of my maincrop potatoes today: 15 Setanta and 19 Blue Annelise.
Planted out 6 potted Chinese artichoke plants.
And sowed three rows of carrots (three different varieties).

I also "pruned" my akebia vines a bit (went around breaking off all of the new shoots, some of which are already 18 inches or more long). They have loads of flowers this year, so hopefully that will mean a good crop.

Just sowed some broad beans into the raised bed, about 30 plants, so hopefully should keep me fed.

also transplanted some sugersnap peas and mange tout seedlings out. Managed to get them all planted out just before it started to rain.

Relocated 3 arches from over a path to straddling two veg beds. I plan to grow a mix of beans, squash and flowering climbers over them.
