Did a whole load more potting on. I potted on the last of my peppers, and also all of my watermelon plants. I pricked out and potted up my tomatillos and cape gooseberries, and I took some cuttings from my overwintered cape gooseberries and potted those up.

Yesterday I began the task of filling the link-a-bord bed, emptied in a load of pots from last year and sprinkled some FBB in. Then added some of my own compost, which is pretty old and resembles fine soil more than fluffy compost, not sure if that is normal as it's the first time I've had my own matured compost. The bed is still only 2/3rds full so will add more of my compost and some bagged manure to finish.
My sciatica started twingeing after all that shovelling so I called it a day.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Potted up some more sprouted squash seeds, and two more sweet potato cuttings.
Pruned the buddleia, the two big roses, the rambling rose and the cotoneaster.
Repotted the big lemon tree and the trifoliate orange.
Dug most of the garden veg patch.

Yesterday I was playing about with an ants nest & I didn’t even realise,I was emptying out a large container of compost & putting it in a bag so I could plant the potatoes & then refill with the compost, then I saw ants all in the bag & all in the container,it was really off putting,I just watered it all & then stopped doing that. Got the blowaway out the shed & set that up instead,it’s ready to start taking plants in & out soon. Did three buckets full of weeding,a lot of dandelions here & loads of busy bees around the broccoli flowers,I had to be careful not to be in their path between plants although they were friendly & didn't come at me at allLocation : Essex
