Shredded a load of prunings yesterday, then today I took half the shreddings to the allotment, and planted out all of my runner beans and my Cobra french beans, along with sowing some more carrots to replace the ones which got eaten.

Collected some seaweed on the way home from visiting relatives in Cornwall, then took it to the plot. Half of it went in the compost bin, the other half will be used for mulch.
I also raked poultry manure into the beds I hadn't yet fed, started laying down the black plastic ready for the tender crops, planted out my one surviving pepino plant in the greenhouse, planted out my three pineapple tomatillo plants, and planted out my two overwintered cape gooseberries (I shall overwinter more this year; they not only survived but were really healthy, and are already fair large and flowering).

Lots and lots of planting.
I laid more black plastic, and then planted out 11 squash plants, 6 melons, 6 watermelons (3 each of two different varieties), 9 T65 sweet potatoes, 3 Erato Violet sweet potatoes, and 9 blight resistant tomato plants (three each of three different varieties). I also planted out four gherkin plants, and in my greenhouse planted two more melons and two more watermelons (of a third variety). Then I mulched the tomatoes and gherkins with seaweed.

Potted on my earliest sown cucumbers which are covered in fruit and flowers. The nights are still looking too chilly to plant them into their final pots in the greenhouse.
Finally planted the last of my sweetpeas up a couple of obelisks on either side of a bench.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!
