Today I sowed 4 poles direct with runner beans Guinness record. I am going for a red/white effect down the line. More runners sown in pots as back up and will do Moonlight in a week or two for succession.

Sowed more lettuces, spring onions, comfrey, chamomile.
Chitting conqueror sweetcorn, mamba, blauhilde and scarlet emperor beans plus way too many squashes, potimarron, hooligan, sweet dumpling, nutty delicia, celebration mix and rouge vif D'Etamps and sunshine and de nice a fruit rond courgettes.
All are old seeds so I'm not expecting them all to germinate.
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Sowed runner beans Guinness record and moonlight. I had sown direct a week ago but not visible yet.
The runners I sowed in pots on 14th are only just pushing through today.

sounds almost like you are growing the three sisters.

I think that only works if you grow a really tall corn, certainly the varieties I grow would never be tall enough to support any beans. I might have some squash in with the corn though

it is not height that matters in supporting the beans with sweet corn
it is thickness of stalk that matters or some grow the bean up poles
next to corn. or dwarf bean varieties that do not need support.
