Also sowed some tomato seeds..Cocktail Crush...havnt heard of these before.
Now that I have looked them up some info are saying they are an F1 variety.
Nothing on my packet saying that...Unwins seeds.
I haven’t heard of them either, google says they’re blight resistant that’s one sign it’s a hybrid & a sister to crimson crush, same family name. It’s odd unwin haven’t labelled them as F1 though, they have a list on their website of F1 tomato seeds so they do still label them on the packets, there’s a contact section on their website, you could question this with them, they might be able to help
Sowed some Nero di Toscana kale, and some beetroot. With the beetroot, it will be a triumph of hope over experience if they grow to an edible size, as I've never succeeded yet.
I sowed some physalis peruviana today. The seed was quite old so fingers crossed something grows.
I find Physalis seeds to be very short lived, so you may not have much luck. Even newly purchased packaged seeds often have very poor germination rates. Seeds I save myself from the previous autumn, however, always have near 100% germination.
Last night sowed some dwarf sunflowers, French marigold, two different varieties of lettuce along with snow green peas, was going to sow some french beans but decided to wait a bit yet before doing that
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
Sowed lupins, verbena , nicotinic and mixed poppies.
All to be planted in the lane behind our house.
No room in the garden and I dont want the seed to go out of date.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
