Shannon up to yet I know which beds my this years brassicas and peas will be planted in but that's as far as I've got.

I only roughly plan now. So long as I don't plant the same thing in the same bed two years running, that will do for me.Comment

That’s what I do Snoop, my brassicas and peas are moved to the next bed along then everything else is planted in a different place to last year.Location....East Midlands.Comment

Some done and some crops in that will be overwintered, but was perusing the seed catalogue last night to see what new things I might like to squeeze in.Comment

I know what you mean but got lots of tried and tested that give a good return on the investment. I just like to try a couple of new things every year- nothing outrageous, just thinking calabrese and have put in autumn onions. Am also trying to maximise the harvest i get throughout the year so I get better at using the beds the whole year not just in summer. Have been doing this a few years now so moved to growing red cabbage, cauliflowers, purple sprouting broccoli and cavolo Nero.Comment

^Me too. I like to add at least one new thing in to the mix each year. New veg to us or just a new variety. If I hadn't done that, I'd never be growing winter squash. And they're a staple now.Comment

Usually I just try growing a few of something new. Last year it was parsnips and they worked so well will grow again this year, but larger quantity.Comment
