  • Forking root crops

We have all had forking root crops but a very dry period in summer got this parsnip very grumpy and it has taken the grumpy act of forking to the extreme.
Has anyone else got any forks to share here?

Haha brilliant pic. My parsnips have beed poor this year too, little stubby fat 6 inch jobs with a weedy tapering root.

It must have been the weather.
They grew normally to start with and then went partly dormant in the very hot period before getting some rain close to the surface.
If they had got even water at depth they would have been very good.

That one looks as if it's trying to do the splits

To me it looks like it has succeeded in doing the splits
