I managed to get some decent broad beans this year (NOT the Sutton which were toilet and I won't bother with them again) but yet again, a lot have ended up pathetic with black tips. Not just that, the garden is riddled with X"%$£ thrips which spring everywhere when I disturb vegetation. They seemed to be kept at bay when I sprayed garlic water and essential oils on the foliage a couple of times but they always come back. I think this garden is pretty much doomed as they distort the leaves and make all my plants sickly.
