    • Four more melons, three more sweetcorn cobs, two pears (the total crop this year, although they are whoppers), and almost two bucketfuls of akebia fruit. Not sure quite what to do with them all, as they do not keep at all.

      • Raspberries for breakfast.

Ameno you could make Akebia jam or smoothies.

It has too mild a flavour for jam, and is too full of seeds for smoothies.
Freezing it could maybe work, though.

          • A load of windfall apples today from my Sunset tree (it's shedding a lot this year. I suspect it's due to the bad coddling moth infestation).

                    • I've been MIA (too much going on workwise) so 2 plot visits to harvest!

On Sun 01 we picked our first cabbage which bravely resurected itself after major slug munching , lots & lots of french beans & a dozen or so autumn rasps.

Only french beans picked on Saturday just gone. Left the few rasps for the birds.
