        • 5 red cabbage and some spring onions which now resemble leeks!…in fact looking bigger than the actual leeks we’re growing

              • Collected and cooked down all the windfalls yesterday- almost half a wheelbarrow load!

                          • Some more dry beans for shelling, some beetroot, four tomatoes (two plants are still hanging on), and the last of the quinces.
                            I got 16kgs of quinces in the end this year, from just one not-that-big tree (it's about 8 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide). The variety is Meeche's Prolific, and it certainly lives up to that name.

                            • Yesterday lettuce for my prawn cocktail,I use salad cream with a small amount of tomato sauce mixed to make the sauce,very easy to make.
