What I did today 2024.

Potted on my tomato Alicante last night. Still procrastinating on the rest

Yesterday I planted the second mountain princess tomato with an Amy pepper & French marigold in a large container,emptied the little blowaway,nearly put it in the shed. Potted up another blue ambrosia tomato. Planted a cucumber with my two pea seedlings & three self sowed carrots,I cut the carrot flowers down last year & there’s a new flower growing from it pulled up a slug eaten courgette & planted a squash in its place. Still loads to plant…

Today I planted out a German lunchbox tomato with a mini pepper. In another pot a pink petunia with yellow marigold. Also planted up my two wall baskets with hot pink petunias with yellow marigolds

Planted out half of my leeks.
Thinned one of my apple trees.
Lots of watering.

Homeopathic weeding. Planted out some potbound pansies and antirrhinums. sprinkled some 'special food' for the snails that have eaten the top off one of the runner beans and have eaten half of the kohl rabi seedlings. Used a rotary sieve to separate the lumps out of a wheely bin full of home compost.

Set up my runners growing thing and planted them out.
Set up squash growing thing and planted out.
Set up growing thing for courgette and planted out.
Emptied some compost from compost bin to use.

Gave my Cayenne Chilli a short cane. It seems to be struggling with the weight of the fruit a bit - I'm reluctant to pick them green but I think a few of the biggest might hit the pot before long.

Also gave my tom plant a cane too. I've been coddling it on the kitchen windowsill to bring it on (mum struggled with germination this year so it arrived a little small) but I think it's ready to be set it free to the blowaway.

Today I put up another runner bean teepee at the bottom of the garden & planted five moonlight beans & two more squash. I feel like I’ll still be planting out in the winter snow Lifted the first few potatoes to have with broccoli quiche in a minute

Planted out the last of the runner beans, another gutter of peas, and some more leeks (at the allotment this time).

Planted out cosmos (various ) also sunflowers
Weeded and pruned
Planted up into a container runnerbeans
Mum got stung by a wasp (again) , must twice this month. Found hole they were going in and dealt with.

The bottom few leaves and stem on of my Beth Alpha cucumbers has gone floppy I’ve cut the top of and popped it in water fingers crossed it will root.
