Howdoo all,
I'm a member of the Heritage seed library of Garden Organic ( what used to be HDRA) and one of my selections this year was a pea called Puskki. They have no details of it but it looks nice (see piccy attched.
Pea 'Puskki'
So, I wondered if any of you guys had heard of it and can throw any light on it ... I'm going to grow them this year and well try it as its supposed to be sweet and save a few. I've got 2 broad beans - Crimson flowered and one calledMr Griefs brown flowered ( had to have that one !)but sadly the old yellow podded broad bean still elludes me I remember my old bosses dad telling me about it when he was a garden boy (would have been the turn of the last century and he said they looked good. he was the one who told me about growing tomatoes in straw bales and he told me how he was told by the old foreman "if you can sit with your bare bottom on the soil and drink a mug of tea, its too cold to plant" ... I use my finger or a thermometer
