  • Help and advice for grafted veggies?

I feel the need to confess Well we went on holiday too often this Spring and we've not had time nor inclination to sow the veggies needing early starts.
So we went to B&Q and our local GC looking for ready made plants! No aubergines to be found and only 'boring' or excessively hot chillis. I'm hoping B&Q might have new stock in this coming BH as they always have a 20% off offer.

I found some sweet pepper plants - Bellboy and Yellow Bell, plus a Jalapeno as we like to make pickled jalapeno rings for pizzas. I also spotted a tomato that I grew ages ago but couldn't refind any seeds of - Cornue de Andes.

Anyway I didn't want to risk not having any aubergines for our new GH and I'd been emailed a £10 off voucher for T&M (okay, I'm getting to the point!).

I saw the following 9cm pot plants on a multibuy offer and thought I might give them a go:

    Aubergine 'Scorpio' (Grafted)

    Aubergine 'Meatball' (Grafted)

    Sweet Pepper 'Cleor' (Grafted)

    Tomato 'Aviditas' (Grafted)

Has anyone any advice about the best way to grow grafted veggies, do they need extra care or different treatment?

And a heaven in a wild flower

Make sure the graft union is above the soil level.
If they start sprouting from below the graft union (this is more for tomatoes than the others), remove the shoots as soon as you notice them.
