  • What's eating my peppers?

    Hi everyone,
I'm growing Sweet Pepper Astor in my greenhouse.
Something has burrowed into a couple of my peppers.
I've cut them open but can't see anything living inside.
Any thoughts on what it might be?
The peppers are supposed to ripen to yellow so I've got a while before they're ready.
Hopefully, I'll still have some left by the time they are ready!
Any advice on the culprits welcome!

In the past this has happened to mine. My culprit was slugs. I actually found some inside my peppers....Still alive.

If you can't see anything living inside then it's slugs. Tiny little ones, which will already have made their escape.
This can also sometimes happen with certain caterpillars, but the hole is usually smaller and you can see silk inside the pepper when you cut it open.

        Thanks for the replies.
I've put some slug pellets around the base of the plant and also used a veg friendly bug spray on the plant.
Ameno - here's the inside of the pepper once I cut it open. I don't believe the black inside is the actual bug, I think it's the waste product of it munching on my pepper!
