Anybody got tips fpr jumping the allotment queue?

    Hi Rforron, I got an allotment at the start of October from a place with a pretty long waiting list. I rang and sent and email saying that I was willing to take on a pretty wild plot. I heard that this particular crowd clear wild land for new allotments, maybe 4 a year, so I said that I'd clear one myself. It's not as wild as I expected and already we have loads of garlic and onions.

    I also told them how much stuff i'd been growing around my flat for the past few years, and how my parents always encouraged me to grow stuff at home, I think that helped to say that I wasn't going to treat it like a 2 month hobby.
