Dobbies didn't have any Pink Fir Apples, so Winston and Buster(never heard of these let alone grown them) but my old Dad used to say grow something you've not grown before every year, so this year it's tatties.

Just been to the garden centre and bought (by weight) 32 potatoes, 16 Nicola, 8 Lady Christyl and 8 Maris Peer.

There was nothing very exciting so just chose 'old reliables'. Home grown spuds of any variety still taste better then shop bought IMO.

Oh, maybe unless you can buy some nice Cypriot spuds or proper Jersey Royals...actually as a kid I remember Egyptian new potatoes being tasty. But other than that...

CG….yikes!…that’s not good news is it? Not for us GYO peeps nor the suppliers.
Got hold of some Charlottes today. Will look out for Nicola though SBP.
