    It's a foolish trend as well. I bet the stronger, more bitter flavours are an indication of higher levels of phytochemicals. Probably much better for you/us.

        Thanks for that Nicos - interesting reading.

        One thing it doesn't mention is that in the North-East of England (by which I mean County Durham, Tyneside and Northumbria), they refer to what I would call a "swede" as a "turnip" and look askance at you if you say "swede" (or at least they did when I lived there in the 1970s). A rose by any other name, and all that...
