  • Free? pixie potatoes

I was going to post the link to a free offer of 10 pixie potatoes, but then I realised, by the time you pay £3.99 p&p, you can get 20 tubers off T&M for £3.99, with free postage if you order before the end of Sunday! Twice as many for your money.
Have to be careful of these 'free' offers
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Pixie is an early maincrop: shows good resistance to scab. Tubers are white fleshed and have excellent cooking characteristics.
    Apparently. http://varieties.potato.org.uk/displ...ety_name=Pixie

    Thanks for the heads-up

Yes I got caught out with the same thing last year and ended up paying 40p each for 10 tubers. Don't buy seed potatoes by post any more as my local garden centre sells about 40 varieties by fill a bag.

Pixie are a SECOND EARLY variety of medium yield. Good resistance to common and powdery scab. Good resistance to nematodes, partial resistance to Ro1. Good resistance to foliage and tuber blight. They are a very good show bench variety.
