i've kept quite a few of the chilli plants i grew this year but they are looking a bit deshevilled and not very well. they are in the green house that is heated slightly. will they come back this year if they lose all their leaves or am i best just throwing them out and starting a fresh?

I've tried overwintering chillies and peppers. They did get through the winter, but come spring, they didn't take off. I find it easier just to grow fresh each year - starting about now on the windowsill.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I won't be starting my chillies off until Feb/March.
There's no great rush ~ some varieties take ages to ripen, esp in a poor summer, but mine were still all ripe before the first frosts last year.
