    Irie you must be just edging onto the fens then - I have a friend over in Orsett and thats pretty heavy his way.

    A plot party - what a good idea - bbq - beer and forks ..................

      I tried that one a few years ago. I called it a GardenING party. People were very enthusiastic, until they realised I was adding 'ing' to the end. Bugger!

        The idea of raised beds,surely, is that they are never stepped on, let alone stomped!! Frost, back of the spade, back of the rake and finally a three-pronged spikey thing and the front of the rake should get you a sowable tilth. Good luck!!

          LOL maybe if I invite friends with kids over and give each sprog a fork and tell them I've hidden sweets or money out there .......................all they have to do is smash all the clumps of earth and find any money/sweets hidden inside??
