Wilko's asparagus

I Have just bought asaparagus crowns from Wilko - 3 for �2.00

I presume it is to early to plant them now, but how do I store them until planting?

I would think they need to go somewhere dark, dry and cool (but not freezing).

Should give you a while to get the ground in shape!

I put mine in the shed in straw to protect them from frost, dont let ight get to them, it will be then about 2 years, when planted b4 you have ur first proper crop.

Thanks for the info -should I leave them in the poly bags & comp[ost they came in as well?

Probably the same reason as to why there isn't a Netto or Aldi near me
