Soobeth, I'm sure someone here can help, I'd be interested myself th wold foliage on my butternuts are slow collapsing in after having powdery mildew.

Funnily enough, on the same plant I also have new grow again and heathly looking tiny new butternuts... I'm wondering if they are just getting a bit exhausted, and the light dusting of frost hasn't helped?

I've never done brocolli before soobeth, but am going to try it next year as I love the stuff. Reading some of the threads here, they do seem to be fraught with butterfly/caterpillar problems! I'll certainly be investing in some fleece to cover mine when I grow them

I heard somewhere about using milk - though of course I cannot condone the use of this.
Organic Bible says that "..powdery forms do less damage in general than the downy, grey matted mildews. They both attack plants under stress....Removing diseased material will reduce the spread. Equisetum tea, seaweed, garlic and nettle sprays [say you are using them as a foliar feed] are claimed to make the plants tougher and more resistant, as may mustard-seed flour."
The New Vegetable Expert (my edition 1999) says that the "disease occurs outdoors in a warm dry summer and under glass. It is encouraged by dry soil combined with a moist atmosphere." The book suggests spraying, I won't name in case it is no longer available.

I trhink mildew is more or less inevitable on courgette leaves and doesn't do any harm to the fruits. Just cut of the diseased leaves
              God Bless
