last year I got some freebie vales emerald pots, and we loved them. i saved 5 tubers, think i was planning to try to grow them for xmas or something. well anyway i forgot about them, but have now found them. they are a bit wrinkly and are growing roots but i wondered if it would be worth bunging them in under fleece maybe just to see, or would that just be a waste of my hubbies energy?

I'd chit them until the time for planting. If they carry on throwing shoots, they should work."Orinoco was a fat lazy Womble"
Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

If you have some cover for them - a greenhouse for example, I'd bang 'em in a bucket now and wrap the whole thing in bubble wrap. You'll get a really early crop.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
