I have taken to growing a cople of globe artichoke plants from seed. But have been told that they are not frost tolerant. do I cut them to ground level at the end of the year and cover with fleece. Or do I just lay fleece ontop of the plants?

Hi Kevin welcome to the Vine.
A couple of the lads on our lottie site grow Globe artichokes & they just cover them over with straw & then top them off with an old window to keep the rain off them. They are OK in the straw so long as they are dry - I guess the same woud apply to fleece - as it's a combination of Cold & damp that does for most things in this country.ntg
