The first seeds (onions) poked their little heads through today, it's always thrilling (sorry, don't get out much) to see and a good sign that winter will go away eventually....

Mine that were sown in December are outside, in modules - I've given them a clear lid to keep the wind and snow off, but it's great when seedlings first emerge. Even better when the seeds are saved from your own plants.
We don't grow onions (only spring onions) but yes it is a great feeling to see your seeds germinating, then growing into fully grown veg.
It's even more rewarding to see your whole veg beds covered in rows of tiny plants that, in a few months time, you will be eating.
We took loads of photos of our veg last year and it is still nice to go through the site and see them as babies and adults lol.
