If they've been in just a year or two they should move OK, just make sure you take as much root with you as you can and replant them at the same depth.
Moving them now is a good time as they're dormant, make sure the soil is weed free and well drained where you plant them. Don't crop off them this year let them re-establish themselves.

I moved 15 or so 2/3 yr old crowns 2 years ago (in feb) and not one survived. All I can offer in advice is to treat them really gently and take as much soil with them as possible. They are known not to like to be moved, but if there's no choice then you may as well have a go. Good luck!

Depends on your budget really, you may be lucky but...I don't think i'd bother with 5 crowns....fine to stick them in an unused corner somewhere...might be Ok to tide you over until you get a proper bed established...big thing is be prepared and get em in quick so they don't dry out..now is the right time.

But to start a bed? I wouldn't even bother with B&Q (to be fair I haven't seen them). I would always say order fresh from a reputable supplier; and not those left to dessicate in a shop. (However, these days I usually grow from seed.)

The most important thing is good preparation of the prospective bed and It is a big of investment of time, patience and effort, so at only £1 a crown for quality crowns?... is it worth risking it? I'd want guaranteed results....If your going to do it, do it right.
