Mine are up! Well, 3 out of the 5 are up. I bought new seed to make sure they would come up, as the boss wanted to plant seeds and see them grow, not just watch the soil!

Mine are up, leaders of the pack 6" (started 12th Feb). I didn't plant directly into compost but started them on a sprouting seed tray and dropped them into a peat pot once the first shoot (root) was half an inch. Once I'd got a dozen going I scrapped the remainder (about 50%) which had showed no signs of germinating... b..

After I slagged them off yesterday for kipping on the job, 4 out of the 5 have peeped through the compost in an old flower bucket on my living room windowsill. Good on you, purple teepee!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Haven't even thought about french or climbing beans yet as I would not be able to keep them frost free for 2months plus. Got plenty of broadies and peas on the go though. Peas will go out on the lottie today from their gutters and another lot sown tonight.

These are being grow on the windowsill all the time though, gojiberry. They will flower and fruit indoors, and as they're dwarf they should be fine. Early crops for us!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Well, I finally got mine in yesterday, so I'm a fair bit behind most of you, but I shall watch that pot with anticipation. There's something about an emerging seedling that always makes me feel very excited and happy - cheap to run, me .Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.

May try this at the weekend as I found an old packet of dwarf beans in the bottom of one of my seed boxes and I've no other need for dwarf ones as I find them a bit rubbish outside.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I've been away for a few days, minding my grandchildren, came back to today to find three of the five French beans are showing!
