French/Scottish seed potatoes...

I have always bought Scottish seed potatoes believing them to be esp disease resistant.
Now then- I can buy some here- or wait a few weeks until we nip back to the UK.

If I were to buy here- does anyone know if they have the equivalent 'type' of potato??????

Nicos my young chumlette, I only grow French seed spuds and never had a problem with them.

Nicos i always grow Amandine as part of my potato crop and have never had a problem, they are delicious!

I bought mine today - I have bought Belle de Fontenay as a first early, Charlotte as a second early and Desiree as a main crop.
Got blight last year but am growing on my newly cleared plot this year...

I work in a kitchen, and we get French - grown Charlotte potatoes regularly to accompany salads, roast ham and so on

For the past 3 years I have scrounged a few and planted them in the spring; never had any problems, and they taste very nice

Amandine 1st early (but I think I might give the belle de fontenay a go this time)

Agate 2nd early (good alround spud - found in the supermarkets)

Rosabelle maincrop

Bintje seem to be very popular round these 'ere parts too.

Well- we always grow Charlotte- so that's not a problem.
I just sometimes fancy a floury spud to jacket or mash.......
