I grew summer potatoes in grow bags following a tip from another Vine earlier in the year. Stand the growbag up on end and fold the growbag in half, cut into two bags and plant 2/3 potatoes in each half. It was very successful for my Charlottes and I used really cheap growbags from Somerfield (99p each).

After I harvested, I dug the compost into the new beds in the polytunnel.

Or were you saying that tongue in cheek Snadger ???????????

Thanks Jennie, I was just wondering if anyone had done it, and the way you have done it sounds good!

Some of my comments may sound tongue in cheek, but they aren't, I'm just thick!!!!

Snadger, just looked at the seaweed product on e-bay and was wondering would any good seaweed extract/powder do the same job. Having dogs I use a lot of minerals, seaweed being one of them, sometimes from Holland & Barratts and sometimes bought in bulk from the wholesalers. What do you think, is it worth digging some in the plot before planting and then adding regularly throughout the season.

              What are your thoughts please.
