I've done the same, this afternoon and I'm in E.Sussex. Mind you, my mini greenhouse is also in my s/e facing porch. I can't see it being a problem as I've found beetroot to be pretty hardy.
What's the hurry? It's best to allow plants to grow continuously rather than have a possible setback with a cold snap which may result in less than optimum yields.

I'm just getting itchy green fingers ! I sowed outside in my raised beds at this time last year and the crop was very poor. Thought I'd try on modules in the mini-greenhouse now, and then sow more outside at the end of March / early april. More of an experiment really...
I'm planning on planting some beetroot in modules to start off in my 4 tier mini plastic greenhouse.
Is it too early to be doing this (Suffolk) ??
I did mine in paper pots end of Feb last year and by the time I planted them in end of March they were a good size and they were up and eaten by end of June, I also sowed straight to the bed and they were not as good as the weather so bad!
So experimenting sometimes works when the norm has problems.
