Thanks for that nick. I've had a look and I think Miss E may well have fun with those. I may even offer seeds to friends with young children and possibly the school. Might start a new trend, then again maybe not. Knowing me more like a five minute wonder.Bright Blessings

Under one gourd in the organic gardening catalogue, it says if can be "dried out, can be filled with water or wine, or turned into a vase"Last edited by multiveg; 09-10-2006, 09:19 PM. Reason: spelling mistake - water or wine, what's ware or wine!!?

Some new things to try
Hi everyone, Thought I would join in and say hi. Im totally new to this gardening vegs etc. My chosen technique is plant it in the ground and hope it works.
Anyway Im always on the look out for something crazy and new to grow, I have manged to get some pink Bannan (eatable) seeds on ebay, I can't remember the name of the company its something with grow in the title. they specialise in exotic seed and do exotic chillies, tomatoes, bannans etc. if you do a search for banan seeds they should appear.
Also someone mentioned gourds, I grew these this summer after getting a packet of mixed gourd seeds from lidil for about 49pence. They were very cool to grow, but not very practical. I am going to cut them out and use them as mini pumkin lamps at halloween.
Also the black cherry tomatoes on on a trail price of 99p this week from T+M as I picked them up yesterday.
Hope that is of some help to you

I was nearly tempted with the 99p trial of the black cherry tomato when I saw it in a garden centre. That was even before the catalogue came out.
