First full year for me, I've already got chard, garlic and onions overwintering and some beetroot that are doing very badly.

New crops planned to go in are more beetroot, potatoes, sweetcorn, beans (broad, french and runner) and carrots.

Oca courtesy of frostyfreckle, really looking forward to it. Black sweetcorn that I've also passed on to 4 other people, who will be blaming me if its no good

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

        2 good points Womble.

        1 - I'm also trying Black sweetcorn.
2 - I've got some oca tubers if anyone wants them to try this year.

We're going to build a second chook run this year to let the other one have a bit of a breather & as well as trying a few sprouts & maybe squash,we're thinking of throwing down some wheat/corn or barley....or maybe all three....with the intention of harvesting it for the chooks.
Not sure how anything will do...whether the chook poo will be too strong for anything to grwo???I know you're not meant to use fressh poo straight away, don't know if it will be any different if it's been compacted in the soil over the course of a year???

My third year of more than just tumbler tomatoes in pots
I've 5 different varieties of potatoes to try in bags; different toms; amaranth; more different beans and peas (4 varieties of french beans I think!); aubergines; outside cucumber; more beetroot (which doesn't grow for me); parsnips, leeks and brussel sprouts (Christmas present from niece!); lovage...
Good thing we built the new raised beds last weekend - this weekend it's shipping 2 cubic metres of soil/compost mix from the front of the house to the bottom of the garden by wheelbarrow - aargh!

Not very exotic but I'm growing cucumbers for the first time. I'm also trying several new varieties of tomato and chilli.

Not sure this year. Would like to try cucumbers again as I managed to get one but then the slugs ate it before we did! Really need to find my seed stash. Would like to try butternut squash though.

Well it will all be pretty new for me! But i am looking forward to trying Crookneck squashes and Miniature White cucumbers. Oh and Rapini which i found on Real Seeds, its meant to be a bit like spicy sprouting broccoli but takes much less space and time!

first year of growing veggies in a new house... so *in theory* i'll be keeping it simple, but i got totally carried away going through the seed catalogues...

red onion from seed, white onion sets, garlic, 2 kinds of leek, chilli, charlotte & king eddies potatoes, these wee little carrots, tomatoes and herbs...

then i looked at the fruit bit... got raspberries, blackberries, redcurrants, melon and strawberries...

                        i can't wait!!!!

Trying a few new things this year -

Ailsa Crag onions from seed, Kale (following on from my early spuds), outdoor ridge cucumber, runner beans. I'm desperately hoping my courgette plants dont wither and die again this year.

                          Sadly excited
