I'll be growing Tiffany again, from T&M, they are a long cucumber. And also Superbel, from B&Qs seeds - they're a small cucumber, very prolific, and I've grown them for 3 years.

        I am sowing

        Tiffany F1
        Marketmore
        Telepathy F1
        Crystal Lemon
        Picasso F1

I tried them for the first time last year, popped one seed in very late indeed. Only got a couple of cucs but it was enough to get me hooked

Burpless tasty green and crystal lemon which both did quite well last year, dispite the grotty weather. Look good in salads too.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

I'm really annoyed, I treated mine like babies and they got no-where. Not sure what I did wrong.

Soooooo, it's my first time with cucumbers and I only have seed of min. white, so I will start in my plastic tiny greenhouse, then grow in a pot chock full of compost, and tape a ruler next to them so I know when to pick them.

I struggled with various types and now grow crystal lemon, normally one plant in the greenhouse for earlier fruit and some outdoors. even if they weren't really easy, I'd still grow them as I love the taste.

Just edited my earlier post to show how well the varieties I grow perform in an unheated tunnel up here in the North of Scotland.

I grew sunsweet and carmen last season, the sunsweet were poor but the carmen absolutely flew and after picking from 2 gh plants i still had a glut of 18 at the end of season..only downside is T & M charge £7.99 for 5seed pack, anyone advice on if its possibe to save seed from crop and success rate??

                          'Telegraph Improved' for us.
Never had any problems with that good old favorite.

If the varieties are F1, then you may end up with a completely different cuke altogether. It might be worth looking at some of the commercial seed merchant websites, such as Moles Seeds or Kings Seeds - packs of 25 seeds for about £9.50
