I can recommend LBS. Excellent buyers catalogue, competitive prices and really helpful customer advisors. I use them for all sorts of stuff, but have bought literally thousands of pots and cell packs from them.

Never mind the screwdriver Rossa, use the drill, it makes a nice neat hole.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

If you don't see any out near the display, ask someone to get some from the back. And you'll need to put holes in the bases before using them...where's that screwdriver!

Told my neighbour about it and she says Aldi will give them away sometimes.

Use an old screwdriver heat it up...

This stops the plastic cracking when making the holes...

If you ask on freecycle you will probably be inundated!

Freecycle. Surprised I've never thought about that for pots. Thanks cupcake.

Might be a bit of a glitch at Kays, they do tend to get a bit overwhelmed at this time of year...I know it shouldn't be a problem but that's Kays for you.
I use them a lot and a bit erratic on delivery but they have a huge range and are very reasonable.

The problem is Sue that they give you no idea of when stuff will be delivered - I'm convinced that if I hadn't rung up and ranted I'd still be waiting! They take the money before the goods go out - not happy about that either. As I said they had the money for over a month before I finally got my order completed - it wasn't anything unusual either...pots, perlite, labels etc.

When should I have ordered to be sure of getting stuff to use for this seasons growing? Last year!?

Wilko's for the square 7.5cm pots, I think they were 15 for 99p. Haven't seen anyone cheaper than that. The 5" round I get from Trago Mills down in Devon but I don't thin k they do mail order, Theirs were 8p each last time I was down there.

Hi Not sure where you are in Nottingham but I got my pots from a garden centre at Shirebrooke they had the small pots for 4p and larger square pots for 8p and as for pots to finish toms etc off in I use old garlic tubs from the local stables and also the residential home that my mum works at get their wash powder in good sized buckets with lids they use 3 a week and are proving to be very useful and they are free as they normally throw them away

Me too, I always check prices on LBS for anything I need for the garden and they often have clearance line sales too.

                          Hi Krazy Krok

I have been on the LBS website this morning and they have some pots in their clearance sale, and as I told you the other day you can get an additional 10% off as a first time buyer. Its well worth a look anyway, hope it is of help to you.
