      Hi,
I posted on the old thread too.. It's def been modded out. I'll repost here if thats ok?

I built a website last year for tracking the allotment and bees. Managed to maintain the bee section very well but the lottie bit was not as good. So making a determined effort this year to keep on top of that too and develop full records on it. It's a great reference resource wherever i am, it's on a server and on my PC, and my backups - so I can't lose it from all 3!!

The advantage is that lots of friends and family have wanted to follow our progress with both veg and bees. No better way than a little website to see what's we are up to at their own convinience. We've been amazed at the number of people making comments about the apiary and thus clearly checking it out periodically!!

Hi Hazel at the Hill, very similar layout to mine (especially as I've added in your idea about harvesting now!). The only other thing I've included in there is who the seed supplier was, so that I know where (or where not) to get them from next time.

Prefer not to add what I've spent or I think I'd pass out!!!

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

Looking back on last years lists of what I grew, I can see at a glance.... ......that I sowed far too many tomatoes

Well 1 Tom Thumb tomato plant cost me £1.99 last year, so I figure I shall sow lots of toms and give away the surplus.

Hmmm...I think I just found me a sig

Used to keep records but I don't now, lifes too short for penpushing! Don't feel I need records now as when one thing is harvested, I add a shovel full of muck and plant something else different in it's place, simple as that! Out and in with no records in between!

I try very hard to be organised, but always end up with loads of bits of paper stuffed in the front of my favourite veg growing book - this year I'm trying to put the info onto a spreadsheet instead - but everytime I sit down at the computer I come here instead! I do find that as the years go by, I make less notes - but I also forget more

So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

It's brilliant! I'm feeling quite proud and know that I'm blowing my own trumpet but this is the second year running where I've managed fresh veg from the garden for the whole 12 months. So those scrappy bits of paper are doing the job!

I just have an A5 note book, and every time i go to the lottie, or sow seeds etc, i write it down on the next page. Doing it this way tells me all i need to know. So next year, i look at the head of the page, which is the date, and this gives me an idea what i did. I will then look forward a few weeks to see if it was successful or not. It's enough for me to take in

I agree. Write everything down and keep it. Even if information differs a little from the previous year. Some times you want to know something and in the end you realize that deep down you have known the answer already. Just look into your notes and make your own deduction. It works for me.
