Gherkins

Are there gherkin plants?I have never seen seed for them,where would i get them?Need them for my pickle

I bought a plant in Northern France last summer in a garden centre, haven't seen one in England. Not terribly helpful I'm afraid but as you live in Southampton you might pop across sometimes, as we do from Pompey. It did grow well in our greenhouse.

Hi I have got some Johnsons and Kings I can spare half a dozen we could do a swap if you like.

I got some seeds last year from LIdl, I think they were about 28p a packet. They germinated really well, I only used about 1/3 of the packet and we're still eating pickled gherkins.

Would they do? I have grown them, very prolific (more than I needed! ) I grew them in a tub, no special conditions seemed necessary. b.
