Because garlic is planted UNDER the ground................ it will usually sort itself out even if it is upside down. (swan necked garlic anyone?)

Pointy end to the top is best! Or green end up as a famous vine guru was so oft fond of saying saying !and you should be able to see where the base of the garlic was on the parent before you split the cloves away.........they go the same way up!

I've planted that green end pointing upwards, and i had planted them upside down.

They are all the right way up now

Like i said i've never grown garlic before, so i understand why i did it wrong, but now i know which way to put it i won't make the same mistake again.

It's the first time i have grown onions too and i brought sets, i did these at the same as the garlic so i checked that i had done these right and i had.

so just need my raised beds to be build now!!

I had a friend who planted all her daffs the wrong way up one year, sadly they didn't right themselves.. and NO it wasn't me (for once lol)

Sorry i know getting your garlic in a tizz is stressful but the thought of you whipping them out and shoving them up the other way only to find they where the right way up to start with is like something out of a carry on film.....Carry on planting
