seed sown in jan

in january i sowed some bedfordshire onions along with seed shallots when should these be going into the soil. they are currently in a unheated g/house in a clumps in pots 3/4 inches high

I assume you mean 3 to 4 inches high, not 0.75 inches?

I would have though nowish - my Feb sown ones are 2-3 inches tall, and will be going in the ground as soon as the bed is ready!
