  • Seaweed Granules & Neem Tree

    Hello again,

Has anyone used Seaweed Granules or Neem on their vegetable plot?

I decide to invesgiate seaweed after reading one of my gardening books and how effective it was at introducing nutrients into your soil, so I typed it into my google search and came up with a company called 'the natural gardener'. They also advise on Neem, The Neem Tree - Azadirachta Indica, as a great fertilizer and also has the benefit of naturally containing insect repellents, stopping pests feeding, and their larvae growing.

I thought this all sounded brilliant for my soil, as I have only just started trying to improve it with farmyard manue and some irish moss peat. It use to be a meadow and there were so many different weeds and wild plants growing there, so its be a long slog to get it in good condition, as well as it being a heavy clay soil. I carried out a PH test and it came back 7.5, which was lucky considering I will be turning it into a vegetable plot.

So I am basically tryign to see if anyone else has used this and whether or not you think I should give it a go to further improve my soil?

    Many Thanks

    Edward
