Help - I can't grow Spring Onions

So pleased to read all this info on this thread. Thought it was just me who failed miserably with spring onions.
Will have another go now with more info stored in the grey cells!!!1

Yes, even the non spring onions stay that way until harvest.....see here

I have tried to grow spring onions for 3 years and havent had an onion yet !
i have tried all ways but still fail. his year im the closest ive ever been,one sowing aout a quarter have survived so far and are getting fairly large. another sowing are still in the balance about blade of grass size but most seemed to have germinaed latest sowing not shown yet and first couple of sowings assumed tto have failed as have my carrots which i have problems witth.
