First proper year of growing, and I'm trying to - although I may have missed a couple of repottings. What I realised is that I didn't pay enough attention to how many seeds I popped into the propogator so am not really sure about the germination rate. TBH though, I doubt I'm ever going to start counting the little bitty seeds. Squash and cucumber, fine, easy peasy, but some of the others?? Nah....

Do people keep a track of weather in the journal as well? Or just the nasty late cold spells???

Lots of us do this on a blog. You can go back and look at last year's dates and then later at the success rates. Unlike a journal you can instanntly add pictures too.

I blog it AND write it in my garden notebook. The blog comes from the notebook so I've got to get it right.

It is really useful to look at the 'what I did today' thread that runs on here.

I keep an quick jotter for tips and ideas that I read along the way, also I note any variety they I come across that I may like to try growing.

I also keep a journal, using Excel, on my laptop.

I think I am a bit of a way off a Blog yet.

Yep we do.

We keep a small site (link in sig) and log info about what we grow and when. Then we weigh the produce at the end of the season to see what we have.

We have just been looking at last years log to see when it's time to sow this year.
We will start to sow everything in about 1-2 weeks.

The thing is that here in Yorkshire, we will have different sowing dates to the gardeners down south or up north.
I kept dates on my pc, but I have changed PCs so not sure if I still have the information.

I tend to go by the info on seed packets, but then I am a bit weird
