We have ordered seeds. I asked my son, now 5, which cucumber and he said crystal apple, not long white paris.

Wow, you're organised, I'll be looking over the seed catagloges for another couple of months yet and then end up making impulse buys and ending up with far too many seeds / varieties than I can possibly manage!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

This was my first year growing cucumber and after much deliberation chose Tasty King. I brought them on in the greenhouse and then they stayed out on the patio for the summer. Good flavour and they stored well in the fridge which was just as well as the plants were really productive.

Will grow them again...now if I can just make up my mind about the rest of my seed list!

Back to the catalogues - misread one variety of cuc - thought it said Buggerit - or have I been reading too much Terry Pratchett!

Long White Paris look interesting to me also. Anyone grown La Diva - it also looks a nice half length green cuke.
