Sweet Potato Hunt

Hey WiZeR,
Check out Thomson and Morgan. Their Kitchen Gardeners catalogue has sweet potato, variety T65 (has such a romantic name don't ya think?) for sale. It's pricey at £9.99 for 10 slips (cuttings).

I've ordered some for thompson and morgan, but I'm also going to try planting a couple from tesco to see if they grow

Whilst idly browsing "The Vegeteable Expert". I notitced that sweet potato is related to the bindweed family? Is it a good idea to plant it if it is?

Word of warning, after my T&M order of that sweet potato last year was absurdly lat, getting later all the time, I called them to chase it up. A broken promise later and they finally said they could send it, but the only date they gave was when I was going to be on holiday.

If there are any late frosts where they're growing the slips then they can be very late.

Can't be as invasive as Jerusalem artichokes. And I doubt its frost hardy.
