I found over 70 maybug grubs like that in one growbag last year !!! it was one i had put outside at the end of the season and never go around to putting on the compost heap !

OK, been digging around and found a comment that the chafer larvae is just over half an inch long wheras the Scarab can be massive. Which matches murraymint's piccie above.

So I've now got a tenner on Scarab - just coz of the small chafer larvae size really. We need an entomologist amongst us.
